Title: I was riding two days ago in CT
Post by: annguyen1981 on May 29, 2006, 07:26:27 AM
I have come to the conclusion that CT cruiser riders don't wave to sport bikes at all...  I must have passed about 20 cuisers tital, and NOT ONE waved back.  I passed about 5 sportbikes tho, and all waved back. :dunno_white:

Here in MA, everyone waves back.

CT is just like Mass....................it's just dirtier and with less class. I actually know people from CT.
They are a cold callous bunch to begin with. Just like most of New England (I didn't say ALL). What is sad is that we have those that "run the country" and the actual populace that believe that "they" turnout all the "intellectuals". Unbefuckinlievable. In reference to Mass, Ted Kennedy needs to have the clothes stripped OFF of his fat lard ass body until he is naked and be whipped until he pees, shits, and his vertabrae are exposed. His replacement needs to see all of this.

And this would be a prime example of one of the southern intellectuals?

Please be a bit more... courteous and less insulting...

I was just thinking the same thing.  OMW does seem offensive, but if you choose to, he can be as entertaining as a clown.

Harley electra/street glide is the OFFICIAL non-waving motorcycle model.

I have never seen anyone on these bikes wave back.  :flipoff:

Haha, your are right. My BOSS has one, and I passed him once while riding around town.  I waived - knowing it was him - and even he didn't wave back.   :icon_rolleyes:

I figured he just didn't want to let go for fear the vibration would jar something loose or knock him off. Heh.

They don't believe you.  My parents pay $10,800 in property taxes in the suburbs of Boston.  It's a 2350 sf house.  Disgusting if you ask me considering I pay $1500/yr.

Yeah, what does property ownership and politics have to do with cruiser riders being too pretentious to waive to sport bikes?  :dunno_white:

NYC: You pay out the arse for a $750,000 1 bedroom apartment. Then you pay the $12K/year property tax for property you don't even really own. Then you pay $1,500/month Maintenence fees. On top of that, only half of your paycheck makes it into your bank account. Almost makes me want to switch to the "dark side"
And the worst part is that you have to live among all these brown people in addition.
Just can't get a fair break...

CT isn't nice. My grandparents live there and I hate visiting. There is a reason why one of the towns nickname si Rotten Groton. People down there are rude. Of course drivers up here in MA aren't exactly that great either. Of course...I can't say the drivers in my home state, VT, are the best....but at least the watch for mototcyclists. That's always a plus. I just want to move away from NE.  5 1/2 months and counting.

I come from a state where we have, in my opinoin, the rudest, coldest, heartless drivers around.... and out of the 50 riders I see on a weekend, only 3 or 4 don't wave back, and its usually cause they're busy, or obviously new.

Weird how California works.

it seems like here that the only riders who dont wave back are the inner city sportbike riders....

simple arithmetic here to many on this board harley ownership= rude sob who does not wave back.  heh usually every where i rode to whether i was on my hd or my gs hd riders were the first to wave, rockets were among the last :dunno_white: eh i personally do not care whether someone wavwes back or not. if they do, great. if not, oh well lol,
and phaedrus those electras do not vibrate like many believe. yes they do, but then again dso does about 90% of every bike out there at some point. every thwin does thumpers even more so. eh its just the nature of the beast. hd's well amny of them anyway are soo easy to ride one handed that waving lol is quite easy.  ah well.

i dont hardly wave on my kz cause with that skinny a$$ front tire, lol it sooooooo wants to fall into a turn lol the gr650 should be a lil better. my sporty it had a skinny tire like the kz but for some reason it is not as prone to "fall over" im about 8 mos. away from buying my next bike. cant decide whether anopther hd or a buell lightning. or something else. baah dammit i did it again. i apologise for the rant disguised as a threadjack   :thumb:

I like Cali people... A little  :cookoo: most of em, but cool nonetheless. Nothin against HD riders either, they seem to be a friendly bunch for the most part. I bet the HD riders don't wave cuz they too old to move they hands like that while trying to steer a HD. The sportbike riders, well, if I was wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and a helmet I'd be a cautious rider, too.

The vast majority of people around here wave though, and every one I've met has been cool.  :thumb: to everyone  :icon_mrgreen:

i owned my jeep for 2 years(sold it for the gs) and wrangler owners take the wave pretty serious so i did my best to wave or wave back at any jeeper's that took the time to wave. and most times the driver isn't even looking they're just waving at the jeep.

so when i get confident enouph to remove my hands from the bar to wave i'll carry that tradition. be it sport bike or not. and being from CT and living in NC people in the south are a lot nicer excluding all military towns.
