This is one of thoes last-second-ebay-bid-things, right? I know a person who used it ( or something like it ). It worked for them. Still, that is only 1 person. If I were to bid on something I would just have ebay do it for me. If you stick in your highest amount, even an esnipe can't win unless they bid more. Then, they would have won anyway if they used the normal way. Seems like to me these are just another way to get some money from you.

I use it. It helped me get most of my spare, trackday body parts for my RR. any sniper program is only as good as your max bid amount (how much you're willing to pay).  using a sniper program isnt going to guarantee you're going to win auctions at a lower price. What it did for me was substitute for ebays' own max bid proxy so that I could reserve my bid till the end and not worry about it.

This is the only benefit...serious bidders never bid big numbers early...best way to get the bidding way out of control.

I've never used that particular one but www.auctionsniper.com and http://www.auctionstealer.com/ have both worked well for me.

I think the benefit is that rather than how eBay immediately increases your "opponent's" bid after you bid until the end of the auction, you can enter your max and the sniper will make a bid for you at the very last second that is just above the highest current bid (assuming it doesn't exceed your max bid) so then the opponent can't rebid, as the auction's already over. I think so, anyways. I don't use them.

I use bidnip. I think when you sign up they give you like 5 free snipes. I only use it when I'm at work and have dial up, or when I'm not going to be able to get to a computer.
