Title: Rejet, anyone around in GA to help out a noob?
Post by: dracflamloc on May 29, 2006, 07:41:31 PM
I've been reading up on the more responsive throttle and such due to rejetting so I was thinking of doing it to my 01. I was wondering if anyone in GA (Savannah specifically) would be willing to help out a newbie like myself with the rejet? Also I was wondering if this operation is soemthing that could be finished in one Saturday or a weekend.

Thanks for the info!

Ps: What tools does it require?

step 1: buy a repair manual
step 2: read the FAQ's on this site
step 3: allocate 2-3 hours of time

cut loose!

Seriously, I was terrified the first time I had the carbs off (1 month ago), now its no big deal. I just had the carbs off tonight messing with some stuff, took me 2 hours start ot finish.

If I wasn't down in FL for the summer, I'd come help in a heartbeat... I'm getting my bike in a month or so, and a rejet is something I'm considering, we could have done it together. If you decide to wait until around August, when school starts back up, I'll come out on a weekend, and we can both do it... if not, good luck!

It'll probably take me until August to get the guts to take apart my baby

So give me a message whenever you're around!
