Title: Loose Bolt?
Post by: thedonuk on May 30, 2006, 08:30:53 AM
Forgive my stupidity but how vital is the bolt in the centre of the steering unit, mine keeps coming loose due to vibes... is this common? and if so is it just a case of tightining it alot and hoping for the best?.

Also what does it actually hold in place, as it seems to me the forks holf most of the "dash" in place.

Cheers

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

Tighten it properly and you shouldn't have any problems. I believe it's a 19mm bolt. It holds the front end in place on the bike.
