Title: how do I know what jets I have?
Post by: Grainbelt on May 31, 2006, 07:00:54 AM
Pulled the carbs the other day to do an air-fuel mix change and shim the needles. Looks like the needles are not stock (circlip has 5 potential slots), and now i'm curious what size pilots and mains I have. (93 model)

Any clues? exhaust and airbox are stock, so I don't know why anyone would have messed with this, but I'm the 3rd owner, so who knows.

The needle with 5 grooves is standard in Europe. The size of the jets should be stamped on the head; at least for the mains.

Standard jetting for European 93s is 120 main 40 pilot, if memory serves.

if you want to tell what is in there, turn the carbs upside down take off the float bowl and in the center there is a brass screw, written on the top of the screw is a number, it should say 120
but a little bigger wouldnt go astray,

You might need to screw out pilot jet to see it's size.
