Title: SEATTLE: Saturday 06/03: Aurora Suzuki
Post by: RVertigo on June 02, 2006, 02:06:58 AM
Forcast doesn't say rain any more...  But...  I dunno if I can really trust it...  So...

Aurora Suzuki is having an open house 10am to 5pm with: "Hourly Drawings.  Win Cool Prizes, like...  Set of tires, Full Leathers, T-Shirts, Posters, and more"

I want the tires and leathers...  You guys can have the rest.   :flipoff:

Lots of shaZam! is on sale too...  (Bungee nets for $1.00)

And FREE dyno runs...

I know, I know...  I sound like I work there...  I don't.  I just planned to go there when the forcast called for rain...  And now I've convinced myself that it'll be fun... :dunno_white:

Oh, so much fun. Does my lack of enthusiasm show? How about my lack of enthusiasm for having to working weekends? No? No bother. I'll just call and tell them that I couldn't make it, and that they should hold it 2 weekends from now. :D

I'm sure they'll be cool with waiting a few weeks.  :thumb:

I TOTALLY did...  I commanded the attention of everyone in the place.

Even the Dyno guys couldn't stop talking about the GS.  :thumb:

I totally kicked ass...  They didn't have a trophy for my class though.   (Although RG won one AGAIN this year).

I finally got my bike back on the road. If I followed correctly, the last two plannings of a group ride were cancelled. Any thought of
making another attempt?

There WILL be more rides...  It's just about when...

This Saturday has a very low chance of rain (http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=98109)...  But, it's my wife's B-Day weekend, so... It'll be up to her if we ride or not.

If she's up for it, I wouldn't mind some (newbie) ride action (since I'm still new at 2-up).

One of the long weekends this summer, I want to do the Cascade Loop (http://www.soundrider.com/archive/rides/cascade_loop.htm)...  And some VERY long day I want to do the Rainier Loop (http://www.soundrider.com/archive/rides/Mt._Rainier.htm)...  They have some other cool ride ideas on Sound Rider (http://www.soundrider.com/archive/default.asp?category=rides)...  THEN, we have the "Old Stand-By" rides around Issaquah-Carnation.

This weekend is out for me, finals, but next would be good for some noob group riding. If not I will probably get a friend to go around somewhere with me.

Man, that cascade loop would be sweet. Up highway 2 and back taking the north cascades highway. (or so it seems, i just look quickly) They said two days for that though..

Other possible places would be the other mountains; the olympics. I bet a ride around that could be good. I donno how twisty it is though.. it's just a thought.

Islands are cool to ride too. Very twisty, plus they are close to me ;) though some roads are not the best kept..
