Title: Have you tried this out? Game
Post by: blue05twin on June 02, 2006, 06:15:19 AM
Fun game should give it a try,

This is going to do your head in, but it can be done. For those of you who are not going to even understand the rules (you know who you are), get someone to explain them to you. Apparently, this is an IQ test given to job applicants in Japan:

Here are the rules:

Everybody has to cross the river. Only 2 persons on the raft at a time.
The father cannot stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence.
The mother cannot stay with any of the sons without their father's presence.
The thief (striped shirt) cannot stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there.
Only the Father, Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft.

To start, click on the big blue circle on the right.
To move the people, click on them.
To move the raft, click on the pole on the opposite side of the river.

I also got it in 17 moves.  It's pretty simple when I'm awake! :cookoo:

It would be a hell of a lot easier if the policeman just arrested the parent for beating their children.

Naww.  Then he'd have multiple prisoners that he couldn't leave with anybody.

Fine, then execute them

Kerry, RVertigo, CirclesCenter and co. arrive at a river too deep for the GS500s (3 of them) to cross. To their luck, there was a raft. However, the raft can only carry two items.  The GS500s can't operate the raft.  As the player, you must get them to the otherside of the river safely.

Rules:
1) If CirclesCenter isn't accompanied by Kerry, he becomes unmoderated and executes RVertigo.
2) If RVertigo is left along without his bike, he'll trash the other GSs.

Ah crap....

CirclesCenter takes his GS to Side B.
CirclesCenter returns to Side A.
CirclesCenter takes RVertigo's GS to Side B.
CirclesCenter returns to Side A.
CirclesCenter takes Kerry's GS to Side B.
CirclesCenter returns to Side A.
Kerry takes CirclesCenter to Side B.

I win.

That took me too long to figure out.  I must be losing my touch.

17 Moves seems to be the optimal solutions.

Spoiler:

f = father
m = mother
b = boy
g = girl
p = police
t = thief

tp ->
<- p
pb ->
<- tp
fb ->
<- f
fm ->
<- m
pt ->
<- f
fm ->
<- m
mg ->
<- pt
pg ->
<- p
pt ->
