Title: too much fogging oil
Post by: mondo27 on June 02, 2006, 10:57:25 PM
i started prepping my GS for her trip to Hawaii next week. i did all the normal winterizing stuff except i had to drain the tank and run the engine till it stalled out. the problem is i think i went overboard with the fogging oil. the bottle says to "thoroughly saturate" the engine internally. well, i put enough in there to kinda spray/shoot from the spark plug holes as i turn the rear wheel. went on for 2 or 3 rotations. i'm sure there is still a small puddle in the chamber. is this gonna hurt the engine to sit that stuff for maybe 2 months? btw, the stuff i used is called Deep Creep (aerosole SeaFoam). thanks!

I'm not an expert about what you're asking for, but just a friendly reminder...

Don't forget to over-inflate your tires so they can hold the weight of the bike and your weight on the water...  Let us know what the mpg in water is.

You would need some longer forks... ;)

Oh, and the most reliable answer would come from the 1-800 number on the bottle.. probably.
