Title: U.S. National Debt Clock
Post by: Old Mr. Wilson on June 03, 2006, 07:13:19 AM
Ok.......here it is Ladies and Gentlemen. Ask your Congressman about this sometime. They will NOT like you asking. It should scare the living hell out of you.
I wish I could make this a permanent sticky somewhere. Hint. Hint.

So true.  IF everybody had paid their taxes back in 1920, of approximately $260 each, they could have erased the national debt right then and there.  Inflation and interest would not have inflated the national to debt to the size it is now.

True. But let us not discount the habitual/tremendous borrowing from the Federal Reserve by our Representatives on behalf of all of us. Only to then loan it to countries who can not even pay back the interest let alone the principal. Or blatantly give it away to dictators who stuff it in far away bank accounts and ignore their dying people. Our "taxes"...................... makes my blood boiling hot. The monetary whores that supposedly represent us make me even angrier..........if that's possible.............Politicans and Lawyers are the lowest scum on earth. Oh that's right! They are one in the same........................mostly..............maybe not all but certainly the vast majority.

Hey Dizzy..........this has been going on for more decades than "I" have been on the planet.
I may be old but I ain't that damned old! Democrats and Repubs have BOTH been doing this.
Get it? Our "Representatives" have been doing this. At this point in time, however, the Democrats have the best Freak Side Show that no reasonable human wants to have anything to do with.
Getting rid of the Federal Reserve (which is private and NOT a part of the Government) and going back to a Gold Standard would be a good start.
Oh wait. We can't do that. Our "Representatives" would have to do that and they are getting so much under the table that will NEVER happen. Why else would a successful lawyer making a million/s a year in private practice quit and apply for a job making $160K a year. You know good and damn well why.
