Title: GS500 pipes the same as a 500EX ??
Post by: Ripper on June 04, 2006, 07:50:06 PM
I've read and searched forum after forum about exhaust systems until i passed out on the keyboard.  Can anyone confirm that the pipes are the same for a GS500 and the Kawasaki 500EX ??

Also, while people are waiting for the FLANGES for the Wileyco Cans to be fabricated, has anyone checked the Wileyco mid-pipes for one that will mate up with the GS500 ??

I know the Wileyco Cans for Buells have a 2.5" inlet.  My pipe on my GS has not been cut yet; is the diameter 2" ??    :dunno_white:

Well, with that --I don't think that wileyco actually made a pipe MEANT for the gs so that's why there are custom made flanges out there. If you order a wileyco, odds are it was meant for the bike that it was meant for-- not the gs.  O0   In laymens term: the gs has a full exhaust which means that a slip on will not work unless you cut off the current pipe and fit said slip on to it so that you may run a slip on.   O0
