Riding around the past few days the bike has acted a bit strange. On several occasions, when stopped at a light or in traffic, the engine would settle at idle speed, then just die. I'd fire it back up, get on the throttle, and it would be fine. Then it'd stop again the next time.
The bike runs fine, starts right up, power is good, shifts properly, etc. '96 w/13k. The idle speed is ~1,000 rpms. The problem is intermittent, though it does seem to happen only when the engine has been running for 20+ minutes.
Last weekend I installed a new cam chain tensioner to fix an oil leak. That worked, and I can't think of any reason that part would cause this problem. Perhaps something in the reattachment of the carbs, airbox, and various hoses? :dunno_white: Any thoughts?

Adjust idle to 1100.
If you had installed the CCT incorrectly, meaning, the spring was not completely retracted, it would have created a load on the engine such that it wouldn't even start unless WFO.
Also, I've had this same thing happen to me last year, and the year before. I think it is a seasonal thing that when it warms up our idle settings change. Happens every year.
