i had to make these extensions for the rear. so i wouldn't have to cut any wires
(http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f187/Familia_Cruz/100_0065.jpg)
camparison of the stock over the buell w/extensions
(http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f187/Familia_Cruz/100_0064.jpg)
close up of the rear, they mounted back with all the same hardware except i added the buell lock washer
and i reused the suzuki nut
(http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f187/Familia_Cruz/100_0069.jpg)
the front end needed these washers, there off the shelf at home depot. i think they were 3/8 id and 2 1/2 od
one of the employes measured the plastic washer that i brougt with me and matched it to the metal washer. the plastic washer went on the inside of the fender, where the back it went on the outside
(http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f187/Familia_Cruz/100_0060.jpg)
metal washer on the inside also reused the suzuki nut with the buell lock washer
(http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f187/Familia_Cruz/100_0078.jpg)
the plastic washer went on the inside of the front faring, where the back it went on the outside, now they all go on the outside
(http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f187/Familia_Cruz/100_0068.jpg)
the front wires did reach with out any mod, but they are not long enouph reach the clip on the faring that keeps the wire safe.
i turned the forks all the way left and right and they dont touch, so i'm gonna leave it as is.

i did end up buying the new flasher relay to slow the signals down but i'm gonna leave that as is, it adds the the moded look. i mean people pay big money to make there liter bikes have faster flashing signals al we had to do was change our lights out.
total cost:
signals $50.??
f**Kn washer 1.10 each x 4 from harley good quallity over priced
metal washers .40 for both
wires and connectors were all on hand
dam everybody's a critic. jk. it took me including siting in traffic 2 maybe 2.5 hours.
and none of the buell parts were in stock so i waited 5 days for those
You forgot one stat at the end.... The time?
Wow, those look awesome :thumb: I've been waiting for someone to try putting buell signals ont he front. Looks great. Nice write up, too. :thumb:
I just put those on my bike like 2 days ago! And they do look awesome.
Do you have the part#s of the buell signals and washers?
v5
wow this look like the best lights that ive seen
Hey are you saying that the lights blink faster with the beull lights on..... If so, why is that
Different voltage or something...if you just change out the bulb to the same bulb that the suzuki ones use (but in amber) you don't have the fast flashing. You would have to remove that little amber lense from the buell signal to get the bulb to fit.
I think the bulb number is 1156a for the sylvania.

L Turn Y0526.k
R Turn Y0527.k
washers B1000.4z
nut D1000.4FZ
i used the number off of pantablo's page http://pantablo500.tripod.com/ i think he said they were off a 99 cyclone, i matched them up to the bikes on display at the dealer ship and they look identical and the burn out behind the counter says there all the same just the part numbers are different, there all the same price
heres how fast, but they dont look this fast in person i dont think

i might have to try that, cuase your's look a lot brighter than mine, i may try installing the flasher relay first but are you able to put the orange insert back in after you remove it??
Yeah, they are meant to come off, so you can change the bulb. It's probably the easist thing you can do. Just take out the screw, take off the smoked cover, take off the amber/orange cover, take out the clear bulb, install sylvania 1156a amber bulb, install smoked cover, put screw in, and your done. Then do whatever you want to do with the amber cover.
