Greets to all! ;)
I picked up my brand new GS500F K6 on friday and today was my first real ride of it.
A nice easy ride, before work, around Mt. Lofty here in Adelaide to wear the tires and engine in a bit.
It is such a beautiful ride! (After my old 1985 R65 any way.)
So smooth, so quick in turning and acceleration and so comfortable!
I'm looking forward to doing some more serious rumbles!

Welcome!
Looks really nice. I have an 05 in red, silver & black. Really like it. Moved up from a Ninja 250. Greetings from Ohio. ;)
WooooooooHooooo, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:
Welcome, is that green? don't think that is listed here. Nice one.
Welcome to the club....If you think the bike handles nicely now wait until you start upgrading the suspension ;)
Welcome and congrats!
Sweet! :thumb:
Congratulations
Welcome! lovely bike
NICE MOBILE PHONE is more like it
I just realized I may have sounded like a dork in my previous post. That's a sweet bike too, but what kind of phone do you have? DAYUMM
I didn't even click on the thumbnail until blingmasta mentioned the phone... I didn't know a phone could take such a good quility photo!
Beautiful cycle, there.
This may sound like an idiotic question, but...are the brake controls on the right side, and shift/clutch on the left, as they are in North America?
I would imagine so, but I took a bicycle ride in Australia recently and was surprised to learn that the brake controls there are reversed from ours (right = rear, left = front in the U.S.).
Thanks, and congrats.
Welcome!! Let the addiction take hold
Where'd the pic go?
It's back.

The controls here are the same as yours, Right hand - front brake, Right foot - rear brake, Left hand - clutch, Left foot - shift lever. The controls are pretty universal, although you may come across some manufacturers or customisers who like to be different.
Best custom controls ive seen was on Great Biker build off. One o them moved the clutch into the left grip. So you twisted it to disengaged and released to reengage. It was cool
Thanks for all the welcomes ;)
I've been riding all week, as much as I can, the car has not moved. Except to sacrifice it's position in the carport :icon_lol:
The bike is not green but Black and Silver.... or did you mean the grass?? :P
Normal controls... :dunno_white:
As for upgrades: once I get some more money I will start playing ;)
And the phone, it's the new sony k750.. very nice if any one is thinking of getting one.
That photo is even scaled down ;)
