Title: So I have to ride home in a Tropical Storm today :(
Post by: tussey on June 12, 2006, 10:42:52 AM
A woman hit my cager last week  so now I'm forced to take my bike to work. I live in Central Florida and there is a tropical storm coming. At noon today the sky has opened up. It's POURING tons of rain and the roads don't look so good. I'm a bit frightened about my trip home. It's about 30 miles on the highway. I have gear (helmet, gloves, and jacket) but that won't keep my legs dry, so I will get soaked.

Just asking for suggestions/comments/experience/advice from the community. If it gets any worse I may just ask a friend to pick me up.

Please help, thanks.  :thumb:

Looks more like it's headed here, not there, but I know what you mean.  I can't offer much advice except to get some rain gear.

Get a few of plastic 33 gallon garbage bags, poke a hole for head and ams in one, wrap the other two around your legs.  Duct tape if needed.  You might want a couple of plastic grocery bags for your feet...and a couple more for your hands.

Hope this helps.  Good luck.
