Title: Redshift published in Motorcyclist?
Post by: manofthefield on June 14, 2006, 11:12:47 AM
In the "Backfires" (readers' letters) section of Motorcyclist there is letter from a Roy in Midland, MI concerning an article about playing the "What if..." game while riding.

Was it you Redshift?

Maybe it was a different letter.  There is one where the author last month said that liter bikes were usless and unfortunately the standard by which other sportbikes are measured, therefore leading people to think that a 600 is a good beginner bike.
May be a different article.  I'll check.

Okay, I just ran out to my truck and looked at it again.

The letter that refers to the GS500 is from Justin Mangold, from VA.  No relation, I assume to "Wes Mantooth" or "Dorothy Mantooth" who I was purchased a fine sea food dinner for and who is, I'm told, a Saint.

This brings up an important point: GS riders are the most highly educated group of riders that don't ride bikes with boxer engines.
