Really excellent FAQ compiled by Phaedrus here:

I searched for "fender eliminator" and came up with the above. :thumb:
From what he's saying pandy, that he searched and didn't find what he wanted, he was searching for something more along the lines of an undertail or an undertray, rather than a fender hack.

has most of the answers you're probably looking for. Try searching for the two bolded terms I mentioned and see what you can come up with.
My bad if I didn't understand correctly! Hopefully he should be able to find what he's looking for now! Thanks for pitching in! :thumb:

Naw, I wasn't harpin' on ya, don't worry. I figured there would just be a ton on fender removal, but not much on undertails.

I wasn't worried! At my advanced age, I don't worry much about people harping on me, shonny (and if they do, I just smack 'em with my walker)!
Plus, it's good to get all the info possible into recent threads! :thumb:
I am looking for the undertail rather than fender removal, on the like that was listed, i went to the manu. website but the kit was only listed for the gs500e. Are they interchangable?
Yes

The body work from 2001 and up is the exact same, barring the front fairings on the F model. This means that the tail plastics and tank are the same from 2001 to present. In 2004 the fairings were tacked onto the '01+ bodywork.
So yeah, they are interchangeable.
Careful kids!
AFAIK, the GS500E moniker is reserved for the model years 1989 - 2000.
From 2001 to 2002/3 they are just called "GS500". (Check the listings from your favorite Parts Supplier (http://www.bbburma.net/Documents/GS500_Parts_Fiche_1.html) if you don't believe me.)
The faired 2004+ models are called "GS500F".
I don't know what the unfaired 2004+ models are called.
so what websites can i browse that carry parts for this bike (2005 gs500f). Anywhere from performance to body

Yeah yeah, Kerry! But for all intents and purposes, the E designation applies to the naked version.
Naked '04+ models are GS500s, no E.

Most motorcycle shops like Dennis Kirk and Motorcycle-Superstore.com have everything anyone else has. And they don't have much. Tires, brake rotors and pads, jet kits and filters, and that's about it. It really depends on what you want. Some online places have one thing for the GS500. If you want something, try a search and maybe throw "http://" into the search to see if any websites come up.

If you say so ... but don't blame
me if a "GS500E" part ends up not fitting an '01+ bike. :nono:
hey the kit isnt that expendove its 169, and it dosent look that bad, it just needs a better pain combo

I think you mean Naked '01+ models are "No-E" GS500s.

No E. ;)
