Will havin a 15t make it esaier for me to pull the front off the gurond? and keep it up?
Dunno, but I found the easiest way is to use an engine hoist & rope.
I believe he's refering to "poppin a wheelie".
gs and a wheely = bad bad things. the front fork seals will blow if the front end comes down too hard.
i would go to +3 rear and -1 on the front to get it to even think about powering up and staying there.

i'm running the 15t sprocket on mine and it lifts in 1st and 2nd without any dramas.... get it up to about 3- 4k, flick the clutch and give it more revs - comes up nice an easy (about 2 feet high i get it at the moment my mates reckon) just back off slow dont snap the trottle closed and she'll be sweet... :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:
i woudl like to see that on the gs. a second gear pull up that is.
Ok, but what about the chain length? will it change?

:o How much do you weigh? 98lbs? Haha. I wouldn't even think 3-4, I would think more like 8-9k? :dunno_white:
hey Phaedrus how does the 15 thooth sprocket affect highway driving? Are you still able to drive in 6th gear or are u an able to reach that gear any more? someone told me yesturday to return my sprocket because it didnt make sence to put it on my bike since i do a lot of highway driving.

a ok, thanks fro the info. i just dont want something to be extremyl buzzing. i plan on taking 7 hour trip on the highway this summer and i think it might be a good idea to stop the sprocket idea for a wile.
If you put on a 15T sprocket, only 2nd through 5th gears are accessible. It sucks.
what????? what hapend to 1st and 6th? :o

He is just messing with you. He is referring to the fact that you need to shift out of 1st gear sooner and 6th gear doesn't feel as much like the 6th gear you are used to on the stock gearing (16 tooth).
I haven't done a lot of highway riding this year since the 15T - some, but not a lot, and it was ok. I'll know more after my trip to PA this weekend. In all tho, it really just revs higher as you are riding.

I think I might have a 15, will check. Being that I can tach out 6th gear it is possible. (There are some roads with "Safe and prudent" as the only speed limit still.)
I have to admit that I might be looking into a 1000 (or so) cc rocket soon. (I mean like next season.)
Primary conteders: Honda Hornet (CB919), Suzuki GSX1400, Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Z1000, Honda VFR, Honda Blackbird.
Why? I dunno, I need rotator cuff injuries!

You would have to be doing about 125 mph to tack out in 6th with a 15 tooth front sprocket and stock rear.
Mine will pull it off in first with the stock gearing, 10 mph roll, 8 grand, clutch it, straight up and down. But you sure have to whip that puppy to make it do it. And someone else was right about wanting to see someone yank onein second. I want to see it too.

i weigh about 85kg's dunno what that is in pds.... but hey i can do it.... an yeah you rev out to about 7 - 8 as you flick the clutch....
if i can do it - i'm sure others can... no need to preload the front end and try jumpin it...
As far as wheelies go... Why bother? :dunno_white: They are hard on your bike, potentially damaging, and accomplish absolutely nothing apart from an "ooh, that guy did a wheelie on a motorcycle".... So what? :cookoo:
tonight i drove around and i found some guys stunting. me and my friend followed them for a wile and guess what, their was a cop at the coner lights went off and they got pulled over. now i dont think wellies are worth it.
