Title: custom seat
Post by: Will McClard on June 19, 2006, 04:36:11 PM
A local guy will build me a seat like a Corbin, Gunfighter and Lady, http://www.corbin.com/suzuki/su3a.jpg with out the piece that goes up the tank, but including the back rest $400.00. I will have to fabricate a bracket for the back rest.
Most of the cost is in the custom fitting. If any one else wants one we could get the cost down, fore the second one would use the pattern from the first. I looked at some of his work and it was good.

You'll miss that part that goes up on the tank the first time you have to stop in a hurry.

No thanks; is what my wife says about the seat. We like to take short trips to town or a run up to lake. I thought about getting a small cruiser, but I really like to race around the mountain roads solo.
Having a happy woman on the back is more important than my image.
In fact my new image will be more fun. The city boys, who come up the hill to play in the mountains with their hot sports bikes, will be even more humiliated when they have trouble keeping up. If they blow me away; well what do you expect from a little naked 500 with a sissy bar?
I live in a motorcycle paradise. There must be 500 bikes each weekend that come through to play. Most never venture off the main highway, and miss the really tight mountain twisties. This is where the little gs really shine, and with the new seat it will be much better for errands with my wife.
