Title: Universal signal Indicator
Post by: average on June 19, 2006, 09:38:46 PM
Hi guys. I was just wondering if you were riding with someone or just happened to be in your cage at the moment: how did you let your fellow rider know that he was pretty much hypnotizing you with lefrt blinger still on after 3 miles?

I usually just open/close my hand allmost like making a fist. He  O0 or she usually get it.    O0

I pulled up along side of my buddy once and just turned it off myself. At a stop light of course, but id would imagine you could do it while moving.

I compulsively click my turn signal... Sometimes when I'm riding with my highs on, I'll think the high indicator is the turn indicator, and click em again...

On an unrelated tangent... I did 30 or so miles on the interstate last night.. and now my back hurts like a mofugger.... what posture should I be using?

One that doesn't hurt your back silly :) use your core muscles - stomach, abs, etc. to hold you up, not your back and not your wrists - or just go faster, the wind will help!

Bwahaha.. I was consciously loosening up on the bars, doing the funky chicken, etc... My grip was loose... holding the tank with my legs.. I thought I was doing it right... but I guess not... as for going faster.. well, I had her up to 95 indicated... quite fast enough for me, thank you!

I turn one signal on for a couple blinks, then the other, back and forth ... it usually only takes a few cycles.

not sure that if someone was doing that at me i would think to check my blinkers.  I do as others above and pass then ride with my signal on thill they cancel theirs.  One time i got passed and the lady pointed at me and yelled your blinkers on.  I then pointed at her and yelled ditto, she turned red and slowed down

I extend my fingers, then close my hand in a rythm so that my hand is "blinking."  IDK, it made sense to me the first time I saw it; it just sounds funny when trying to describe it

I tried a few methods on my ride today. On one occasion scratch's method of blinker left and right. On another occasion I tried that same thing hoping it would work, but apparently it just enraged the driver and caused them to tailgate me. Then I did the flashy hand thing (fist closed - open - closed - open) for a while after he passed me. He turned his blinker off and waved at me. People are weird.
