Title: Tank Resonates
Post by: common sense on June 21, 2006, 07:12:48 AM
Anyone notice their tank resonate when its less than half empty at certain rpm's? My bike is only about a month out of the crate and I don't think it's a problem or anything, but as I start to run low on gas there is resonating sound from the tank at about 5000 rpm. I shift up, it goes away; fill up on gas, it goes away.
Just wanted to see if I was the only one to notice this... or maybe its just me.

*maybe its a special mod specifically for me seeing as how I've run out of gas twice in my cage :dunno_white:

It's a known issue with our bikes.  5-5.5k RPMS the bike vibrates.

I've never noticed this on my '02.  Could it be that either the bolts holding the tank or the padding between the tank and the frame have come loose?
