hey gang,,
i dont know how to load pics in this post so i put them in "members bikes" under "American Inginuity highway pegs",,they are on the current last page 23. im kinda proud of the fabrication performed and the how well they function, i used the rear passenger pegs whats nice is they fold in as they should if you go deep into a corner. and this set gives me 2 more leg positions for long hauls, wich is only two days away now. south dakota is where im headed, what you cant see in pics is how the bike is also dressed for the road including a large gel pad for the seat. speaking of i purchased a used seat fo this bike on ebay (bought and delivered for under $25) wich when i return is going to be completely torn down then reworked for a full custom touring seat, to bad i ran out of time to get this done before my trip. stock seat is pretty hard and rises to much towards the rear for my taste.

are the standard foot pegs still there? If not then shifting and using the rear break might be a little fun.

I would be a little concerned about the small screws and brittle engine casings that are supporting them... maybe you thought of this and worked around it :dunno_white: But I love the idea :thumb:

ditto, the walls of those covers are not designed to support a load. I don't think that will be a very good long-term setup.

i think it will fine to prop you feet up, how ever i wouldn't stand on them. thats for sure

glad people are seeing what im up to,, guess thats what these boards are about. yes the left side shouldnt be stood on due to the 5mm bolts holding it in place but i can tell you its stronger than you think....and intended to change leg position only. i can also tell you that this position is quite comfortable on long hauls even though it is a forward style bike, and it works well with the mo-tech handlebar relocation clamps i added. that little bit farther back position changes alot on this bike. oh yea,, i did make them myself,, from just scrap pieces of metal laying around. it cost .75 for the three longer 6mm bolts on timing side.
I'd say, thats pretty good for scrap steel.

If they can't support weight of my feet I wouldn't own the bike anyway...brittle pos...
