Title: 2004 GS500F Single Seat Conversion
Post by: seaheifer on June 21, 2006, 11:29:59 PM
I have been scanning through this forum and have read the few forums about the convertion the R6 tail to fit my bike(even though it isnt single seat it still has the look).....Is that going to be the best and simplest way to convert to a single seat....or is there someone that makes and or sells them for my bike?  And also if the r6 is the best solution...(the forum isnt very detailed) Will I have to purchase the r6 seat and install a new seat clamp?  Any help is appreciated... Thanks

Where did you see someone adapting an R6 tail to a GS?

I'm not sure if this kit  (http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/suzuz/titan.htm) would be adaptable to your bike... but it looks pretty sweet... crappy that its so expensive tho...

hmm, the website says 88-98.... the front fairing is pretty ugly, yeah. I've never seen the tail end in person... but from what i've seen, it looks better than every other single seat ever made for the GS (excluding tail end swaps like on pablo's site)

we did an airtech tail that makes your fzr600 look like an r1 on my buddys race bike using a fz600 front seat w/ some modding of the seat blocks(underneath) and one crossbrace over the subframe we also removed the brace for the grabrail was really a pretty easy mod and looked smashing!

Alright thanks....I did the fenderectomy and the refectorectomy from this sight and I think it helped the back end alot....I dont mind the double seat but really like the single seat look.....but I am content (if I wasnt I wouldnt have bought the bike) Thanks again for the help.
