is your pillion rider experienced?  This can make a huge difference in the two-up experience.

Also, remember that a pillion rider is extra weight outside of the triangle.  The bike-rider(s) complex is more top/rear heavy and will behave accordingly (i.e. tougher to initiate lean, then all of a sudden you hit a critical angle and over you go)

Nope no problems at all.  Of course, I do have the best passenger ever.  :icon_mrgreen:

My fiancee is a good passenger, She doesnt move an inch unless I do,  she even leans correctly.

My sister on the other hand, tries to get away from the road when I lean, which causes me to wobble....  She got a fussin'

THat pretty much covers it.

I have the same problem when I carry WAY too much beer in the top case...

Sure they do...  You just have to get them in the right order...

1.  Bike
2.  Beer

The other way around is not good. :nono:

Mine does the same thing.  Except she is still terrified to get on with me cause when in parking lots turning she freaks out.  When we are going faster she feels more stable but slow and she wasnt to run away screaming.  Its going to take a lot to get her on the back again.....

I've given 2 people rides around the block. They were fairly early when I got my bike, but it was a good learning experience.

One of them leaned properly, and it was pretty easy. The only thing I had to keep in mind was that the bike braked a LOT slower, and the front suspension (that squishy front spring) bottomed out easier.

Then I gave another girl a ride, and it was terrifying. She didn't lean at all! I pulled up to a stop sign and tried to turn right. She didn't lean at all, so I couldnt turn the bike... so I swerved all the way out into the opposing lane before I finally got in the direction I wanted to go.

Whenever i take anyone pillion - yes if they have experience this is better but whether they do or not i always tell them to hold onto me or the grab rail, keep their feet on the pegs and not to lean. All they have to do is follow the lean of the bike. i.e don't move just go with it and let me lean the bike. I don't have any problems. However i expect its worse on soft suspension or with a heavier passanger.

Yeah, with a passenger (or other hefty load) it's

On my '99 this is detailed on a sticker on the left swingarm.  On my old '96 a similar sticker was on the undertail, visible when you removed the seat.

You should increase the pressure for riding two up. Probably 36F, 40R. YMMV
