Only one slide inside the carb goes up when i rev the motor. Is this a vacuum problem? How does the top of the carb get vacuum, from a hose or hole?
The carb has a hose fitting similar to the hose fitting where gas goes into the carb, it is located in the upper middle of the cabs and it is plastic. What is this for?
What about the vacuum fitting on the gas valve, does this connect to any thing?

Could be. Either that or the slide is siezed.

I forgot, but it has something to do with the opening on top of the carb mouth (you can trace the airpassageway), and the holes at the bottom of the slide. Where's that link on how carburetors work?

Float bowl vent to allow atmospheric pressure to help "push" out the gas when a vacuum is applied to the venturi, allowing gas to be drawn out.

Yes. Depending on year model: '89-'00: inside left carb. '00+: One of the carb tops.
