Is it possible to have a pipe fabricated for a high mount to fit the gs500f? Been wondering about this for awhile but not sure if its possible. Has anyone looked into this, or even done this?

Wait a few weeks. Makenzie71 is developing a full highmount exhaust, both dual and single pipes.

nice any prices yet?
You can put anything on anything. All it takes is money, and a fabrication shop willing to do it.

His tentative prices:
$375 for the dual highmount (shipped)
$325 for the single highmount (shipped)
For a full exhaust. Less than the price of the new Jardine exhaust, too.
Don't know if this helps at all, but I've been majorly looking into a new exhaust as the stocker is finally starting to rust a bit from sitting outside with the ocean air on it everyday while I'm working.
This means...that if you can do a highmount with better flow than the stocker, and for anything less than the Jardine, I'll take one as the Jardine left me nonplussed.
For Mak's exhaust does he plan on using staniless steel or alminium all the way though as steel looks very ugly.
I would be very intersted in this exhaust especially if its cheaper than the jardine.

Dunno. I think stainless steal for the piping and aluminum for the cans. Ask him.
My systems are "budget" pieces...I build them from whatever I can get from the lowest bidder. If stainless is only a couple bucks more for the project then I jump, but more pieces will be made of aluminized 1050 tubing. All pipes from me will be coated in a black finnish.
I'm looking for a carbon fiber distributor right now that can hook me up with the tubing to do the dual cans, but for a while we're looking at all stainless cans.
Just to mention...I just priced stainless tubing and to gauruntee you get a full stainles setup will cost an additional $120 (price may vary...depends on if I can get a steady distributor on my side).
Would rejetting be necessary for your hightmount exhaust?
yes any change liek that would require it, hell even a air filter change it is nessasary
The price for the single highmount is $4 cheaper then the Jardine and the duel is about $45 more than it and if its $120 more in stainless then thats a bit more then a full SS Jardine but I will be very interested to see what they look like, should look good :thumb:
ive done it. you just have to make a support bar comming off of your subframe. if done right it looks good. on my first attempt i had it up to high and burnt the plastic. second attempt went just fine and it looks fun bags
Pics Please :thumb:

Mak's standard exhaust is something like $255 shipped, I believe. His highmount's tentative price was $325. So for $8 more you can get a highmount system, or for $62 less you can get a full system comparable to the Jardine.
thas true, i rather get a high mount, but to late i bought my jardine
