Yeah, we had some kid in Wilkes Barre that was drawn to Paul's "shiney red one" when we stopped and got fuel. The kid just saw it and come running over, in awe! :o
It was like a mini paparazzi and paul was our shining star. :icon_razz:

Most of us have met in person before and talk all the time, so real names are used. When a new person comes to the group they usually say their real name AND their user-name from here. It's kind of awkward, but funny. We used real names for the most part once we got them all down.

Great meeting all of you. Wish I hadn't had too work all weekend and miss the ride. I didnt get home till 1am and then had to get up at 7am for work. YUCK:-(

haha yeah I'm one tall mofo... I don't think anyone got a shot of my tent tho, but it was pretty funny to see a big guy like myself climb in a childrens tent... random people walking by were like gawking at me, some woman was like 'is that your tent?' and then just laughed. :laugh:

Yea my tent was cozy and not flooded.....but the beer did not over come the rocks either night. 48+friday night....yea somebody out drank the entire group combined, but he needed it more than me for that little tent. Pour Nick & Jen he had to pick the tent up over his head and dump the water out
yea I'm glad you guys only had a little bit of rain... Why is that the Southern gang [errr person in this case] gets battered with rain on the way home. I drove through continious down pours ever since I got on I-81 all the way home Even in a truck the wind shield wipers couldn't sling it fast enough...only to find my front yard 1/2 flooded and backed my truck up and unloaded my bike ASAP into the dry garage :kiss3: glad that turtle wax works. My tent is covered in mudd from friday night's down pour durning the night...so it might be dry inside but the outside is coated. And those little flice blankets...mine is wet from where it touched the side of the tent...but that's not to bad

idk when the next one is, but i'd be up for another this year if everyone else was...
in any case the next one should be at the jersey shore... i know there are some good camp grounds down there, or camping on the beach would be pretty awesome. the only down side is we would have to ride into the main land to get to and decent roads, but that's no big deal.
We could do it at my house, kinda centralized between canada, connecticut, and mass so maybe more people could come. I've got 1200 acres and room for bikes inside. :dunno_white: Rich is already planning to camp on my lawn :laugh:

If there is another Northeast Summer meet, you can likely count me in :thumb:. As long as it isn't August 6th, August 20th, or September 19th. :laugh:
And yeah, last year we had atleast 3 Northeast GStwin meets that I know of. Two of them were pretty small, and of course the big Carlisle Bike Fest. I went to two of them.
If anyone wants to set up another meet this summer - TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORNS AND DO IT! :thumb:

It was ok, but it did rev high like Weaz said. I spent a lot of time in the 7-8k zone, 6th gear. It wasn't HORRIBLE, but you could tell the poor thing was working pretty hard.

Yeah. Rich thinks this is a pretty cool idea. Maybe more of a New England Meet rather than a Northeast Meet. :laugh: You are OUT there, Pastrami, but that could be a good thing.

If not to ride, then why did you buy your bike? ;) Saddle that sucker up with some camping gear and ride down here. Don't think of it as a "5 hour ride". Think of it as series of five one-hour successive rides. You gotta stop every 100 or so anyways. :thumb: And you won't be riding back the same day, so...you're golden :thumb:

hell yeah... we were thinking seaside heights (aka sleezeside): island beach state park is really nice and they have a great boardwalk with awesome food and lots of stuff to do when we're not riding :thumb:
i'd probably attend any meet in the NE, be it for a day or a weekend, just cause the last one was so awesome

Remember that one GS Ride we were on, the one where you lost your "tool pouch" under your seat? :laugh: Well, that road was 895. If you recall the gas station where we stopped for a while and then headed back... well if you would have continued on that road, it would take you to 125. I've been on it once. Lots of people ride that road... mixed stories. Lots of cops now too I hear. Several riders have lost their lives or had accidents on that road too... lots of very sharp turns to pay attention to.
I would be up for a "Joisey" get together
