Title: Poetic justice and a hit and run
Post by: Queso on June 25, 2006, 10:28:48 PM
I was on a freeway today, traffic was jammed due to an accident or something, so I was carefully splitting lanes. Most cars just sit there while in a traffic jam. Some pull wide either out of kindness for bikers or fear of losing a mirror. Then you have the jerks who can't stand letting someone pass them. I happened across one such jerk. Only one, but that was enough for me. I don't go more than 15 mph faster than the traffic to give me adequate time to brake, and I keep the gear low and the revs high with my brights on so people know I'm coming.

So I'm going through, no problem, plenty of space, watching carefully then as I'm just about right between two cars, the car on my left (which had no blinker on - nor anywhere to go) suddenly starts pulling quickly to the right! I couldn't slam on the brakes to get behind, because traffic wasn't moving anyway - so I opened the throttle to get out before getting pinched. there was an SUV to my right, so my mirror went under his, but the sedan that tried to pinch me, well.. When it came to GS handlebar vs. car mirror, my handle bar emerged quite victorious. Needless to say, I made it out just fine, but the idiot payed for his road rage with his mirror, primarily because I couldn't avoid it.

I hightailed it out of there and never saw the guy again. Hopefully he didn't see much of me, either  :icon_mrgreen: Stupid cagers.

You should stopped, kicked his ass, and called the cops for wreckless endangerment...or at least kicked his ass.

Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahah!!!!

More power to ya!

My favorite was the unsignaled lane change (More like emergency swerve manuver) almost nailed my front tire! I hit the shoulder and removed his whole mirror with my left boot. Damn bastard.

Another incident was actually about 30 mins ago at the grocery store. I got in line and some dude just stuck his cart in right in front of me and glared at me. I said, "You know all those stories about bikers burning down towns and shooting people? They're ALL true." He moved, good idea too, because even though the stories aren't true, being hit with a helmet sucks.

Anyways, happy riding, and I swear the first time I see someone throw their leg over my bike without my permission I'm going to jail for murder.

One time for halloween I dressed up as a pirate and decked out a shopping cart as a pirate ship (with a mop as the main mast) and I ran around Wal-Mart for 30 minutes ramming old ladies' carts, yelling ARRRRRRHHHH! and taking their shaZam!.  I then went and clocked in and went to photo lab (where I worked), tied my cart to my register and threatened to kill everyone who came within 5ft of my booty.

Word.  If I catch the little punks that keep taking the cover part way off my bike, I'm right there with you.

Get a Gorilla alarm. It's got 4 types of sensors, two of which are bump and tilt. Scares the crap outta people that are messing with my bike. I've seen kids touch my bike and then the alarm does this little warning blip (goes off if it's bumped again)- the kids take off like a bat outta hell and I just laugh.

Best i've heard off was from someone i know at school. He been like most of the kids went for a stupid scooter for the bling factor (go figure) just to hang out with the scooter crew' (also go figure) well he was riding through a local town here which was choca block with traffic so he was splitting lanes and some car driver been an arsehole and not putting up with the fact he was stuck in traffic and couldnt bear anyone to not be in the same situation as him opened the front door of his 4door saloon as this guy approached on his scooter. So the scooter guy was forced to slam the brakes on causing abit of skid but stopped about level with the rear door of this saloon and saw the driver grinning pleased with himself. So proceeded to kick in the back door of this guys car leaving some pretty hefty dents then scooted off around the side as the traffic moved LOL.

Nice... I don't think I would've been that easy on the guy though, if he actually managed to stop me.

Thats the funniest thing ive heard off but ive seen more serious things. On a motorway a few years ago i was on the back of my dads thundercat, slipping through a huge traffic jam (due to an accident covering 2 of the 3 lanes) A harley rider had been slipping through the traffic and we caught him up because he was taking it steady due to been slightly bigger than most sportsbikes (it wasn't a huge huge harley) but anyways some car driver moved out and was driving accross both lanes to stop him slipping through, when traffic stopped he got off the harley and walked up to the car, pulled the driver out and slammed him against the side, id o shaZam! myself and i think this car driver did, thankfully the harley guy didnt beat the crap outta him cos he was huge. Driver got back in and moved over right over out of the way lol.

More scary than funny - thats how people get hurt. Think theyre safe in the car, thus they don't feel the need to be aware as a biker or a car driving biker there you get your accidents. Hence 4x4 gas gusling trucks been used to take kids to school in london. Rediculous and mums think that makes them safe so f%$k everyone and everything else.

I would have drug him out into the street and beat the holy tar out of him with the bike lock I carry (4ft of 3/4" steel cable with a fatty cylinder lock at the end.)

Oh did I mention that I don't like arseholes who try to kill me?
