The GT250's frame is based roughly on the GS500's, but don't kid yourself...they're nowhere near as similar as the GT650 and SV650.

Oh yeah...and legend has it that the GT250's tank, tail, seats and bracketry bolt up to the GS...

I'm not too sure what all's involved, but I've seen one GS decked out like the GT250.

Not as cool as this. though:

The GT250 is about 3500 out the door...a hair more than the EX250....the naked 250 is about $3k.  The GT650 goes for a hair more than the GS500, and the R is another 500 or so.  They're great bikes.

yes, they do.  Dealers are far and few between, though.  The Hyosung dealer list has been posted.  Search for a thread I started called "anyone live near a hyosung dealer"

I'd imagine the wheels, inverted forks, and other nifty bits bolt right up as well. I bet it's better sprung than the stock GS too :laugh

I tried finding wheels from the GT250 a while back, even went so far as to join two Hyosung forums, but go NO responses.

The forks are superbly better...the rears suck just like suzuki's.  Steering stems are a bit different...just swap bearings, though.

Hmmm think I might try and see if I can't get the rear plastic's and seat and see if they really do bolt up or not.

Howdy  I run a 05 GS 500 F and also own a HYOSUNG [ HYO-SUN ] 250 COMET. Put side by each the frames look to be identical . I am also wondering if the front ends will swap out. Hyosung is a offshoot of Suzuki they build all of Suzukis 4 wheelers and also build the SV / V-STROM bikes for Suzuki too. The inverted gold front forks work and look great and the the little v-twin really screams It is loads of fun. I have [aboot] 2000 kms on now and the only bad thing I can say Is that the back brakes are a bit vague. You will never have the problem of locking up the rear wheel thats for sure. I find the COMET Is more fun to ride than the GS [ I DO NOT BELIEVE I JUST SAID THAT ] It is like a baby DUCATI in looks and sound. I paid  $5000.00 out the door for mine last Febuary and am told I have the first one in the country. [ CANADA ] The COMET has 30 HP the  GS 40 HP. When I got the GS it was $6500.00 out the door. I now have the fever for a DUCATI 695 MONSTER . Life is good EH!           CHEERS!

I hate to say it but damn that naked 250 looks so much better than the GS500E!  If parts really do bolt right up from those Hyosungs then I hope Hyosung gets REALLY popular here in the U.s so we can see more wrecked, salavagable bikes to get parts from!

I just dropped off the comet off at the dealer for it's first service and I am installing the other brake disc on the front. The parts came in fast[ 7 days] and were quite reasonable . /disc $100.00/brake line $35.00/hardware $30.00/ caliper with pads $125.00. This is in CANADIAN $$ so you do the math for your country. The dealer thinks that the front end should bolt up with little drama to a GS 500. I will try this mod down the road. Will also price out the trees and forks. I also installed a GIVI A-750 windscreen [ DUCATI RED ] from the MONSTER bike. [ yes it fits the neked gs ]   cheers!
