Title: Jardine Installed
Post by: gsjohn on June 27, 2006, 03:52:16 PM
I finally got my exhaust ordered on 4/29.  I installed today,  i am pretty satisfied with it.  You have to be careful when installing though or u will hit the brake caliper.  About an hour to install,  Looks sweet and sounds good.  I dont have a camera sorry.

Does it have the center stand stopper? I had to grind mine off the stocker and weld it to the V&H

yes it does have the stop for the center stand.  You have to use the rubber off yours though.

power increase is noticable i am not a dyno though.  It was hitting the rear caliper because the clamp the give to mount the can is just a ss band.  To avoid the problem mount header,  then mount can to mid pipe.  line up ,  tighten up midpipe clamp and header bolts,  then install the muffler clamp.

Yeah me, for an 03 model mines on order should be here next week. I spoke to a tech at suzuki australia he said if it fits a later model it will fit the earlier models as well which I already knew but I just wanted some reassurance :thumb:

Forgive my ignorance, but we didn't have an '03 model over here- is it naked without the oil cooler, or faired with one?

Thanks.

Naked, no oil cooler

I'm getting the exhaust system from this company http://starcycle.com/ they had it listed on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180000833675
I noticed they have one on the canadian ebay site as well, they tell me it will be here next week fingers crossed :thumb:
