We all know how excited Rich was for this meet. He'd been bugging me for months to go on a ride and I stupidly kept putting it off. He teased me cause orginially I forgot he had dibs on my second tent. I'm going to make this an annual ride, somewhere in the north east but we'll figure out details later. If we need to change the date we can do that too so more people can come. Theres a huge sense of community here and I think we would all benefit from being together.

hmmmm... my parents live 30 mins from there in ballston spa. ( where i grew up ). and I have a few friends up there that ride.

Its north of Albany, NY starting at my home and hitting the twisties Rich was looking forward to my zip code is 12121.....thats quite a drive even in a cage. I was thinking maybe we could ride out and visit Rich's resting place, but I don't want to be crying and riding. :dunno_white:

So i was in upstate NY, visiting my parents this long weekend, so i didnt ride until now after hearing the bad news. It was def awkward, with my head feeling heavy at times. But by time i was back home i was happy to have ridden. I hope the group ride to celebrate rich feels the same but different. bittersweet in a way.
Im open to joining you guys for a "phaedrus cruise" any weekend from now thru august unless something comes up. As time passes, i get less sad about meeting up and riding for rich, and more excited. I guess as close as I can get to riding with him again, is to keep riding. So no i get excited like he were going to be there. i mean, he is kinda.
I won't be able to attend the ride, but I know that Rich will be there. In everyone's hearts. And I know that he'll be watching over you guys keeping you safe.

To All of Gator's Friends well I guess you all called him Rich (Phaedrus) I just called him Gator as he was my Brother Thank you All for al the Nice words and Yes he will be miss more then you all know .. tomrrow at 11 Am is the services for him so you all know

I'd still like for it to happen, It must be a bad weekend for people because there doesn't seem to be much interest. When Lady Jules gets her dedication ride figured out, perhaps I'll change the date to coincide with that one. Or maybe we can just figure out a different date? :dunno_white:
yea it seems like there isn't much interest at this point. but if any meets happen around the area post it up, i would love to go for a ride

I work in retail, so I never know WHEN I'll be free on a weekend. Unless I take a vacation Mon-Fri... But with my luck, they'll put me on the schedule Sun & Sat. :icon_confused:
I've been thinking about coming because I had such a great time at the NE meet... but since the whole Rich thing it's really be kind of a downer... if there are a couple of other people that would like to go, I'd definately still go, especially if someone from down here that I could ride up with wanted to go (I get lonely :oops:).
I know what you mean, I've been on my bike once since the 1st and I don't really like riding by myself. On my way up to Canada the other day I drove the cage on some really nice twisties (the kind that have twistie warning signs) around Keene Valley and Lake Placid.
Seriously though guys, if theres a better weekend for all off you, let me know, it'd be kinda sad if the last thing me and Rich had been planning and talked about died along with him. We picked the 29th because it worked for me and him, but I can change that.
I can head up that way for a ride on either July 30th or August 5th or August 26th. Its a 5 hour ride for me in a car from williamsport PA to saratoga NY so id ride up the day before, crash at my parents and could meet everyone for a ride.
Time is closing in on the end july 29th, and the idea of riding for rich seems to be fading. I started a poll to see whos interested and what theyd like to do:
