1.  THey steer the bike.

2.  Depends on who you ask.

3. See #1

Do a search of "clip ons, clip on bars, and SM2 bars"  and you might just might find all of the answer you are looking for. :thumb:

Clip on bars fix to the fork legs instead of the top yoke.

Yep they're the muts nutsĀ  :thumb:

They give you a more sporting riding position.

I have them and would never go back.

Hey AJ, next time to save some typing just type SEARCH NOOBY

I love em! I am somewhat tall so I didnt like to position of the stock bars... the clipons are perfect.. for me they make the ride more comfortable and enjoyable

Well ... the 89s are a bit hard to find I guess. Should be able to get them used from an 89 on eBay for $40-80.00 ?  I am not sure about other types. I got mine on the board along w/ some other stuff off an 89

The install was VERY easy... They bolt right up to everything that the 90-00 Gs already has  :thumb: Took about 30 Mins

I dont know if the 89s work on the F or not... maybe do a quick search or someone who knows will chime in...

I do know there are aftermarket ones you can use.. but I think most of them are $$$

Well another option if you can't find the clip-ons is to go with the Laverda Bars.. I have them on mine and cut them a bit to move the grips closer together... One of these days I will actually take some pics of it...
