Saw an advanced showing of it last night. The movie started at 10:05. I got out of there at 12:45. It is LONG.
But I liked it okay. I never got excited about any of the action. But it was pretty cool in a lot of places.
Superman is a lot cooler now that they have the film making technology to make his powers look real. Spacey was really good, too. And of course Parker Posey was cool.
The new guy they got to play Superman did a good job. He didn't annoy me at all.
I'd recommend it to anyone here. It is a good movie if you have kids. There are no R-rated parts.
thanks man, i am dragging my fiancee to see it when it comes out
Seeing it tonight in IMAX.
That will be cool. I've only seen one movie in IMAX. Those theaters make me dizzy when I first walk in to them.
I have seen a couple of flics in IMAX format. It is way cool to sit in the middle so it messes with you vision.
Not sure how it will be. The Matrix was cool in IMAX, as was Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Saw Batman Begins in IMAX and didn't like it as much. The screen was so big, and the movie was dark, so you had to do a lot of moving your head, looking around to figure out who was punching or what was happening.
Good to hear that Superman Returns dosent suck. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!! eeee!
I was going to see Batman Begins in IMAX but I let my buddy Keene drive and he forgot how to get to the IMAX theater and we had to settle for a normal movie theater.
I dub thee, "Baffoon".
Thankz for the review. I've always loved superman stuff... I was a bit hesitant on this one.
Glad to hear the good news. :thumb:

Y'all are Ghey ... and boring too ...
Cool.
Srinath.
Takes one to know one, fancy lad.
Saw Superman last night in IMAX 3D. I didn't know it was gonna be 3D, and I thought it was gonna suck. Wrong. Only selected scenes were in 3D, as choosen by the director. Flying scenes, plane crashing scenes, and giant pokey crystals scenes all popping out of the screen at you. The GIANT screen. Very cool. Little green glasses when flash on the corner of the screen when you're supossed to put on your 3D glasses, then at the end of the scene, red glasses would flash.
The story was Ok. It's definately not rehashing of a story already told in the comic books. Fits in better with the mythos created by the tv series Smallville. But at the same time, the movie respected the feel of the original Superman movies, with gratuitous flying scenes, and the epic John Williams music.
Most importantly, they did a good job making Supes not look cheesy. I mean, it's pretty tough to put a guy in blue tights and not have him look like a freak.
And Kevin Spacey=RAWK.
:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Go see it, it's worth $12.
