Title: My neighbors gave me a motorcycle!
Post by: Kerry on June 29, 2006, 12:38:41 PM
OK, so it doesn't run....  :icon_rolleyes:

These are the folks whose son bought my second GS500 out from under me.  (I wasn't in a hurry to sell, but he was in hurry to buy!)  Now that richard is in Russia for a couple years, his older brother bought the bike for cheap transportation.

I put in a good number of hours with each son, teaching them to ride, helping them work on the bike ... so when their mom saw this object in a gift shop recently, she "thought of me".

Isn't that nice?

Looks awesome. You should probably try and upgrade the tires, though.

I'd be more worried about the throttle, it doesn't seem to be connected to the engine.

Is it just me, or does it look like you can adjust the chain tension slightly?

I noticed that too, but I haven't checked it out.

The rear wheel rolls, but the chain does tend to get stuck on one of the sheet metal pieces.  If I'm able to tighten the chain a bit it should work better.

That is awesome Kerry.  It isn't often that you have neighbors of that caliber, they sound like good people.
