Title: Parts cross referencing?
Post by: blue05twin on June 30, 2006, 12:18:08 PM
Is there a place that will look up parts and cross reference them for you?  IE if you are looking for a 05 GS gas tank it would tell you what other bikes and years will have the same gas tank.  ( No not looking for  new gas tank I'm looking for a 99+ Katana rear rim.  Wanted to know what other bikes used the same rim.

What you are looking for is something along the lines that the junk yards ("breakers" for our UK and Euro friends) use.

Hollander Interchange is a major player in that game.

I bet there is a MC version somewhere. I just don't know where.

Have you tried a Google?

Motorcycle Parts Interchange maybe?

i think the SV is the same as the kat....i don't need one...therefore i ain't gunna x ref it with a kat on bikebandit....hint hint

but i think the SV has a bigger rear axle....like a 88-89 GSXR
just swap out brgs

got a 89 GSXR curved wheel sitting on my race bike
yellow with a shiny rim lip
converted it years ago

rid in ride out   if you bring a 150 tire
conversion should only take about an hour
