MINE!!
Delivered less than an hour ago. I'm a little worried because there was no bill of sale? He said in NY they don't have those like in CT. Took an intense ride around the parking lot so far.. have to wait til Weds to get insured, and then probably until Sat to get registered  .

Congrats, From nood to noob in under a week, now thats an Extreme Motorcycle Make-over
Purrty! Have fun! :thumb:
Beautiful! As for the bill of sale... Well, as long as you have the title, signed over to you, without any liens on it, you're good to go. When I went to register my bike, they didn't even ask for the bill of sale.
Enjoy!!!
good for you...i have the same bike :thumb: this is it now...

Hmm.. I'm having an issue with locking it up tho.. I bought a kryptonite disk lock today.. picture shows it going around the front brake rotor..
It doesn't fit around the rotor. Am I doing something wrong?
I know I know, these questions probably seem really stupid.
Try sliding it up so that the rotor is in the middle of the lock.
Not sure what you mean.. maybe I'm trying to lock it completely wrong but I don't see how I could be. That's :bs: if it doesn't fit.
Ok here is a few pic of mine

Yeah it definitely isn't gonna fit on the front.. I got it on the back though, will that do the same thing?
It's this lock http://www.kryptonitelock.com/inetisscripts/abtinetis.exe/PublicArticleDetails@public?artid=2801&atf=products_item&pgrp=20
It should the whole purpose of it is to stop the wheel from moving. Just be careful you remember you have it back there.
Phew.. well at least it's not 30 bucks down the drain.
And uh.. how do I wash this beast? I've read a couple of washing guides, but any I read involve using a hose, which I don't have.. suggestions?
WoooooHooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your new beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I use Plexus on my fairings and just about everything (lights, etc), and I use WD40 on my rims. So, basically, I use a spray can for everything, rather than a hose! :icon_mrgreen:
I washed mine a few times at one of those hose it your self car washes, get a few of those disposable towels, leave the worst spots for last (rims, bottom faring) :2guns:
Uhh... I wouldn't use a Kryptonite lock on a bicycle, much less my brand new motorcycle. Those were the ones that had the big scandal where you could literally pop them open with nothing but a cheap, $.10 disposable Bic pen. I'm sure they've since fixed the problem. But that has lost them my business forever. Personally, I'd return the kryptonite, and buy a nice, alarmed Xena disc lock (my next purchase, actually)...
Just my $.02 though, and I'm an idiot, (and evidently a jerk too, though I don't try to be), so take that with a grain of salt.

Actually, I'm like the only Asian ever to ace his SAT verbals and not his SAT math... I'm horrible at math..
The lack of a bill of sale kinda steams me...you can print the form off the internet and all he has to do is sign it...hopefully the dmv doesn't care. Otherwise, he could have just written it out on regular paper...but I'm glad you got it... :thumb:
Well he wrote a thing out like, "I, blah blah, sell this GS.. etc".. but still was kinda iffy.
Also, another noob question.. I read that if you keep your ignition lock on a ring with other keys, the weight of the keys can ruin the ignition.. true? If it is I'll just switch my disk lock key and my ignition key to a seperate ring.

It won't ruin your ignition.. but it will scratch the hell out of your top triple. I keep my bike key by itself, no keyring or anything. I AM ordering one of the gs500 pewter keychains from airbrush though, which can be found as a sticky at the very top of the WTB/WTS forum....
If your worried about scratching your bike with key's while riding, there is an easy fix. 3M makes a clear adhesive ( I'm really bad at spelling good at math asian also ). Just cut it to the size you want and stick it to your bike. Alot of people who have show cars use them around the key hole and on the front bumper and hood to keep the paint from getting scratched.

good call, forgot about that stuff.. the other option is to put a small dot of velcro on your keychain, and a small dot on the triple, then hook em together when you ride. That's probably what I'll do with my GSTwins keychain, but I'll do it with a magnet instead... is the top triple magnetic? *goes out to check*
crap, it's not.. which means I have to attach a magnet to both my keychain and the triple.. oh well, I'll figure it out... this'll be fun! *goes off to order his keychain now*
