First of all, before I went someone asked me about MPG. According to my notes I got about 17 miles to the litre or 77 miles per UK gallon which is 20% more than the US gallon. Frankly I was astounded at this, I still am but I checked it twice. During the first year i kept records of my mileage which was mostly short commutes and town riding and i normally got 52 - 56 mpg so 77 amazaes me.
This is where I spent my first night, Bernkastle Kues in the Mosel valley, Germany.

The sign said "English Spoken / Bikers Welcome, both statements were true

Second night just over the Czech border, the ride up from Bayrueth to Marktredwitz was threatened by thuinder all the way, only got a few showers though but a lot of water on the road, very iffy on hillside hairpins! This is Cheb which turned out to be a very strange place, restraunt closed at 22;00 (Half time in the football!) but very picturesque.

I accidently posted this instead of "preview" so I went for "Modify" and added about 30 picures then it would not let me post them, "You have already made this post" nor could I delete this one and managed to loose my modified one so got in a right bloody pickle! so please forget this i will do it again as a fresh post AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
