Your doing to much for your people. Ease back on your governement costs for roads, schools, police and fire. And get rid of roads that you planted by accident or that go nowhere. It all eats into your cash flow

Zone a bunch of land. Lots.  Don't put residential next to industrial.  Put a road every 6 squares.  Run power lines and backups to each zoned area.  Throw in a couple random schools and hospitals.  Set the game on fast and let it run overnight.  People will come.  In the morning you will have wrecked roads, slums, but a ton of money in the bank to level everthing and build cool stuff. :icon_mrgreen:

Haha.  I used to do that with the first Sim City, just let is run all day while I was at school.  I'd come back, and I'd be rich!

The biggest key to getting things built up in the zone is just run powerlines across them.  If there's power, they will come.

So ya on the Oregon Trail I used to fill the wagon full of people I didnt like and then send the off without any food or supplies to see how far they could make it before they all died.  Yes I am very aware that I am evil.  :icon_twisted:
