Title: Rich's GS500 FAQ is down
Post by: trumpetguy on July 04, 2006, 10:25:28 PM
Rich's superb GS500 FAQ is down (http://gstwin.variders.com) and has been for several days.  This was a fantastic contribution that he made to our online community and one that I would personally hate to see vanish.  Does anyone know if someone other than Rich had access to it and can fix the problem?

This is definitely one more place where Rich will have a lasting legacy.

OK, I'm now officially a geek (responding to my own post).

If someone has the FAQ cached or saved, perhaps it could be hosted on the GSTwins.com site with credit given to Rich.  It really was an easy to use reference that I used frequently as a fairly new owner.

I believe Jetswing was in charge of the site administration, while Rich contributed a lot of the content.  I just spoke with Jetswing (and had been corresponding with Rich in the last few weeks) about moving it to more of a wikipedia style site, where anyone can write or add to articles.  The FAQ will be incorporated into that, along with other articles.  I'll post more details soon.

Excellent.  Thanks, sanjay and jetswing!  I'll look forward to the new site.

I just want to make sure that Rich's work is recognized when the site gets meshed with the wiki-style site.  He was the one behind getting a FAQ organized, and it was a great resource.

So what's the status with the new Wiki-FAQ?

I miss the ready reference that was Rich's old FAQ.
