I don't get it. A 20% chance will stop you from riding?
Is that for safety reasons, or because you don't want the bike to get dirty?
Either way, we should be able to work through this. Step over here and lie down on this comfy couch.... ;)

Its because if I work in an office so if it rains, I cant get in wet!!!. So I cant take the chance off getting wet. Sales is a lot about personal apperence and I dont want to be all nasty
Helmet hair doesn't matter? Oh ... never mind. :icon_rolleyes:
If you bring along some Frogg Toggs or other rain gear, all you have to worry about is your gloves and shoes. But, you don't wear your "sales" shoes when you ride, do you?
Do you not have a tank bag, or a bungee net, or something with which you can keep the rain gear handy...?

DRY
Now go ride.
Oh come on, just buy yourself some raingear to go over your regular gear and go ride. :icon_rolleyes:
I've ridden in the rain this way many many times and my clothes never get wet.
Do you get a locker or something similar at work? I know where I worked, when I was doing sales, we had a break room, with a hanger bar, so we could hang clothes there. I didn't have my bike then, but if I did, I would have kept 5 shirts there (one for each day of the week that I worked), along with my dress shoes, and then just rode to work in my t-shirt/jacket, work pants, MC boots, gloves, helmet, etc.. get to work 20 mins early, change, groom, professional during the day... motorcycle riding, gun toting, bald, scary, rebel at night.. (you, not me..)
The weather in Western Mass was a 30% chance of rain today, and I really thought it would. But I still took my baby out. NO RAIN!!! WOOO!
Dont be such a wussy!!! 20% chance is nothing.
Psssh. Go ride in the rain boy. You aren't going to melt. Scratch rides in the rain all the time. Lotsa people do. Your bike can get wet.
Ride, but be careful.
It's one thing to suit up and get on a bike when it's coming down cats & dogs, but it's another thing entirely to not ride because of a 20 or 30 percent weather forecast.
Just for kicks, keep a "rain journal" for a month, recording both
1) the "percent" forecast for the NEXT DAY only (5 / 7 / 10 / 14-day forecasts are pretty silly), and
2) whether or not it rained that day
I "forecast" that you will eventually ride to work even when the predicted chance of rain is 40% ... or 50% ... or maybe even more.
i did that with my harley. i rode to work sometimes with 90% rain called for. i parked the bike on the sidewalk by the front door. they wouldnt Buddha Loves You sidewalk there was almost 12ft across
weaterman= shotgun+roulette wheel :2guns:
I work in an office, too, so I must look presentable, too. I always keep an extra set of clothes *just in case* I get wet, but with my waterproof gear and my rain gear, I've never gotten wet. I keep makeup and a brush at work (you can skip the makeup unless you're into that kinda thang )...basically, I keep whatever I need at work to make sure I can fix my messy self when I get there. If I wasn't able to keep it at work, I'd keep stuff in my tailbag. Ain't nuttin' gonna stop me from ridin' to work, except maybe a blizzard, which isn't too likely in the SF bay area! :icon_mrgreen:
The forcast around here is usually chance of showers with a possibility of snow, followed by clowdy weather with sunny breaks and wind gusts anywhere from 5-50 km/hr... Unreliable.
Best thing to do is pick up a good pair of overpants and a good solid jacket ... will keep you dry for the most part, and if you ride an F that will help too. Now just go! :)
