She wants to get in to motorcycling, but doesnt want a big bike so I was thinking of getting her this for christmas

Tad.. that's not a motorcycle.. that's a scooter.. it even says so in the URL... http://powersports.honda.com/scooters/model.asp?ModelName=Ruckus&ModelYear=2006&ModelId=NPS506&bhcp=1

Seriously though, that thing is kinda cool. How old is your sister? And how big? I.e., what would be a "big" bike to her? What about a ninja250? They're street legal, and will show her more of what motorcycling is, versus a scooter. Just my $.02

NGFL, I agree with you about not being that much of a motorcycle.

But,  I figure she could have some "safer" fun with the thing, she lives next to sChOOL, and works like 5 blocks down.

And she's 19, but I think she'll like it

And, if she's anything like her brother, she'd find a way to do a back flip on a 250.

LMFAO @ the backflip thing.. I'm working on doing a backflip whilst standing on my tank, at roughly 20mph.. but I wear ALL my gear, and only do it in parking lots.. At midnight.. in antarctica...

Hmmm... I still a ninja250 would give her more of a feel for motorcycling.. I didn't look on the website, what's one of those things cost? I know you can pick up a used ninjette for real cheap.. and they're like a GS in that they retain their resale value really well.

As for this 19 year old sister... got pics? I need something to distract me from this 16 year old I can't get out of my head.. she's interested in me.. and seems interesting enough.. just not sure I can get my head around this age difference..

Tad, hit me on AIM, if you've got it, I'm N1ceGysFinshLast, I'm bored, could use a laugh!

go to www.ircatwork.com

under nickname, put TadMC, or whatever you want
under server, put: irc.freequest.net
under channel put: #GSTwins

it'll log in and stuff, and then say "Unable to join channel #GSTwins (+k)"

+k means there's a password

so then you type

/join GSTwins gs500

just like that, and it'll let you join..

The Ruckus is cool and the Big Ruckus is neat looking too. If I *had* to get a scooter, a Ruckus would be where it's at.

i love the honda ruckus scooters. they look like they'd be a blast to ride with those big tires.

Go for the big rukus, bigger engine, better useful lifespan for her.

For the cost of the Big Ruckus, you could buy a motorcycle... (Base MSRP  $5,499 (http://powersports.honda.com/scooters/model.asp?ModelName=Big+Ruckus&ModelYear=2006&ModelId=PS2506))

The Ruckus is pretty cool...   Until you sit on it and muss with the controls...  :o :nono:  I suggest checking 'em out in person, then deciding.
