Are the greek pastries under your helmet for safety or nutrition?

On a related note, a balaclava can be worn under the helmet to help keep warm.

you know, I was letting that slide....

however, when you get slapped in the neck enough times, you start wondering if a balaclava would be worth wearing in the spring time too...

I like wearing one year round. I use a Coolmax Buff (the goofy Survivor headwear). Gives my neck a little protection and keeps my sweat from getting my helmet too funky. When it gets hot I soak it in water and it keeps me cool for half an hour or so.
