Well today was my first flight training day at my current company... so obviously I was in very good spirits when I got up this morning (eventhough I didn't exactly get much sleep last night). The last thing I needed on my way to work was bad news of any kind... well, it turns out someone decided that it would be a good idea to tip my bike over on the high side.
I always have my tarp on the bike... you know to protect from the elements and nozy ppl. Guess it doesn't help when someone decides they're going to tear the bungee that holds the bike cover right off the grommet and then push the bike over! I had my car's bumper pretty much an inch from the left peg, so just pulling in the kickstand and letting it fall low side would have done little dammage to the bike (probably would have done wonders to my car's hood and bumper, but who cares?!?). So anyways, I now have some pretty nasty gouges on the right side case, and bar end... my bar end is pretty pooched now... it spins freely and there's alot of play in there. But that's not the worst... the fall dented my tank right on the ridge of the tank... right under the "S" of the "Suzuki" that's on there. I'm not sure if it's repairable where it is.
I'm going to go into my insurance broker on monday or tuesday and see what they can do for me - I have Fire/theft/vandalism coverage on the bike!
It just rotts me that someone would do that.
:2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns:
Oh by the way, My flight went very well - But I'm still really pissed
People suck
That does suck royally.
Anybody that would do something like that (or "key" a car) needs to have their face introduced to the corner of a building or kitchen counter over and over and over until they are an unrecognizable mush. There are some sorry sonsofbitches running loose on this planet.
I agree.
It's better than just making the SOB's pay $$$ for the damage. They shall pay with their faces!
 A little rough for my taste...but yes, the few times my car has been vandalized I was totaly livid for a few days.
Sorry about your bad luck. You'll get the bike fixed up soon enough.
Congrats on the new job!
-Turd.

you need yoga in your life. or some counseling.
actually, I'd just like to see you turned loose on a yoga class... who am I kidding.
A tank is ~200 bucks.........that weighted bar end (with screw) is ~ 20 bucks...........a side cover is ~80-100 bucks. All in US dollars. Wilson
Here is a link to a dude that makes heavy duty polished aluminum side covers for GS450 and GS500. 70 bucks. Never used them so don't know much about them. So........be on your guard. Wilson

Joedude.. that SUCKS about your bike man, I'm really sorry to hear it...
Wow, I wedge mine in between my car and a parking barrier, it can only tip a bit each way, no tipping over for me.

sorry about your shitty day, but at least the bike was still there when you got to it.
that sucks but then go do it to there stuff and thell be the first one to cry.... like babies lol...... retards and cowards thats all they are.... no respect to others not even for themselves gang of hypocrites..... im geting mad and its not even my bike lol well bro sorry to hear about your bike but hope you catch who did this
Sorry to hear. Hope you feel better.
Oh man...hearing about this sort of stuff really jerks my chain...
I think the face vs building corner might be a little extreme, but they definitely need their kneecaps introduced to my good friend Mr. Torque Wrench. :icon_twisted:
But...the one good thing is that you still have the bike! I've had vehicles disappear before - in the span of 3 minutes. I went into Subway and got my sandwich and walked out, my car was gone. Alarm w/ immobilizer, brake pedal lock, air-bag club, break resistant glass, and they still got it. Not sure why they would've wanted it either, it was a piece. :icon_lol:
Thanks everyone for all the kind (by kind I mean motivatingly aggressive!) words. Sorry I havn't replied before today, but Since I posted things in training have just got more hectic... and if anyone on here is a pilot... they know that doing your first PPC ride is probably the most stressfull thing a pilot ever has to plan for... (Pilot Proficiency Check - it's a transport Canada approved flight test that qualifies you to fly an airplane in a commercial company)
I'm going to look into all those options when I figure out what my insurance company can do for me...
I'll be updating.
