I wear all leather, over the ankle, steel toed work boots. Got em at K-mart for $20. Was originally just gonna wear em for work, but they're my riding boots for now, until I save up enough $$ to buy the sidi champion tepor boots, which can be found on newenough.com, and are wholeheartedly endorsed by our own Pantablo!

Sidi Vertebra 2's

The soles are made of hard rubber and have good peg feel.  I have several pairs of RedWing steel toed boots, but they're not as comfortable to ride in.  The toes are much larger than my Sidi boots, so they make for botched shifts once in a while.

budget wise, you will be fine with all leather boots that go over the ankle, can be bought at walmart, kmart, target, generally for less than 30 a good pair can be had

For riding, I wear Oxtar TCS "racing" boots unless I'm riding to work, when I wear leather Irish Setter boots that can pass as dress casual shoes until I pull the leg of my pants up.

I borrowed AJ's colors.  I thought they were very complimentary to your features.

Yes, I am a bum.  A lazy one at that.  I didn't even photoshop your head onto someone wearing combat boots.

I think you tarded it 2 posts before I did.

But seriously, they're not the best for ankle protection, but they're better than most leather boots, I'm sure.

I wear cheap ass leather (well maybe leather) boots I got from Payless when I was 15 and worked at Wendy's... they still have 6 year old grease stains and paintball splatter on them for that extra bad-ass-biker character  :thumb:

Army boots should work fine.

As for me, I wear either sturdy running shoes (around town stuff) or motorcycle-specific boots.

Your combat boots should be fine , but not your jungle / desert boots.

i think combat boots should be fine. just be sure the laces are always tucked in where they can't get caught in any moving parts, or even on the shift/brake pedals.
