Hey,
I was wondering if its possible to take of the bottom of the front fairing, I mean I know its possible, but does it cause any problems like exposed wireing.
Im asking because im thinking of making the GS a quater faired bike, with maybe a chin fairing, does anyone know how this looks?
Beware the chicken-head look. Besides that, it shouldn't be a problem.
HAHAH
yeah I hadnt thought about that
has anyone else done this
I converted my 2005 GS500F to a GS500E a few months ago. I pulled the lower fairings off to see what things would look like and I laughed so hard I had to change my underpants. Here is a picture from the gallery...enjoy...

Credit goes to "cobalt135" for the picture.
The picture doesn't even do it justice. The upper fairing is extremely "heavy" looking. Its far too big to be used on its own and totaly makes the bike look like Darth Vader.
Go outside and pull the fairings off and see for yourself. Bring a towel.
*EDIT* Oh, and keep starting threads...you always start up good conversations and you are probably the most entertaining person here!
