I know, i know, dont even give me shaZam! about asking a Honda question here
but heres the situation. A buddy of mine... ok well my next door neighbor has a 88 honda rebel thats in need of a rejett.

Ive tryed to join a Rebel thread and I just dont think they want some one with the name TADMC
He has a standard Airfilter, but the PO put straight pipes on and that causes him to start bogging down over 65mph.
I need to know the Jett sizes, cuzz im gonna order his and mine
FYI
your buddy's rebel ain't a rebel
either a shadow VLX
or a intruder
but that ain't no rebel
yeah thats what I meant, I knew that i dont know why i kept putting rebel
Its a shadow VLX
This should NOT be in general. It has nothing to do with a GS. Try odds and ends. Or the tard farm. Maybe we should just start calling it the Tad farm?
I dont want this to turn into an arguement

I know, I was just being a smartass, since I have no useful input (surprise!)
Hopefully someone here can help you out!
i'd try to help ya

a simple search would enlighten you that a rebel isn't a V-twin
another simple search would enlighten you that a VL-X wasn't produced in 1988
a simple look at the bike would have also enlightened you to what it is...little white sticker usually on left side
step away from the bike
do not try to fix other peoples bikes

You right its not my bike, but the guy asked for my help, so I am trying to, No I know that some of you would just hate to be nice but i like trying so.....
.... That is the information he gave me, he didnt say hey you mind look at my bike and tell me what it is and what year.
He said is bike is and 88 honda shadow VLX, I have no idea about honda shadows, so im sure that every one in the world proabably knows more that me.
So in stead of being asses, just say hey thats not a vlx or a rebel and then say hey eric go f%$k youre self,, but dont be an ass
Srinath knows a thing or two about carbs and POS metric cruisers. I'd go with what he says. If provoked, he has even been known to provide more detailed information. Either that or he'll tell you to go f*ck yourself.
actually i'm pretty nice to my next door neighbor
Srinath has met him...he's scarey
think pit bull on a lawn mower
TadMC, i have a question on a trailer ....need a part
you sell houses...(did?) or premans
the simple basic info is kind of important before you answer my question....
what kind of trailer....oh no it's a camper....
have you riden said bike?
is it lean?
is it rich?
have the carbs been fiddled with?
are you shure?
what does it do wrong?
im just going on what hes said, fuss at him not me, but dont be an ass for me trying to futchin help some one.
He's offshore right now so i cant ask him these question right now
I doubt he's sure. But this should be fun anyway.
Well let me ask you guys something, when some one bogs down at higher speeds what does that mean?
Needs a one #4 washer. Lean up top.
thank you~~!!!!!!!
the main jet is a 125 stock...for a 98-99 VT600
probably want to try Srinaths advice
also ride it and do a plug chop....should be WHITE
before you change stuff
then change stuff
should go to lt brown

If its feeling like its running out of fuel ... or lean surging or sounding like it wants to accelerate but cant ... that is lean - AKA steady throttle problems = lean.
If its not accelerating on demand ... its rich.
Cool.
Srinath.
