Heh heh.
That reminds me of a Beverly Hillbillies episode where Jed had just introduced Jethro to some "society" people, and mentioned the fact that Jethro wanted to be a brain surgeon. They were duly impressed, so Jethro took the opportunity to show them his new Mickey Mouse watch. :cookoo:
Jed, being the proud uncle, said "Go ahead, Jethro, tell 'em what time it is!" Jethor's reply went something like this:
"Uh, lessee. The little hand is on the 2, and the big hand is on the 7, and the teeny hand is on the 9 .... no, wait ... the little hand is on the 2, and the big hand is on the 7, and the teeny hand is on the 10 ... no, wait ...."
You can imagine the look that the "society" people gave each other. :o
I got my gs500 around December 28 of 2005 so I guess we have been together about 6 months. I have put almost 3,000 miles on it but I did not drive a lot in the winter. I think it is time for me to install a new front sprocket.

A little over two weeks. I need to take it out more though! I've put less than 200 miles on her.
I owned my 2001 for 16 months before upgrading. That was 9,000 miles on that bike, only on the weekends.
Since January somethingorother. It's in my sig below, but I can't see it when replying. :)
6 months, 7,500 miles.
Well...It would be about 30 hours...but I got outbid at the last minute.
Since August 26th 1995.
Cool.
Srinath.
3 months
I have mine 97 model from april 2001. What is it 5 and something years?
Still love it to bits!
Next upgrade is a hardcore supermotard bike
Had the '92 for 3 weeks. Some of it is still here in my room.
The '04 for about 11 months. I bought it in mid-August of '05.
Owned my 01 for about a month now :) Just hit rode my 800th mile.
About a year and 4 months... And only about 8000 miles (SLACKER!!!)
Since New Year's Eve. And not really that many miles. I need to stop being such a slacker and ride more.
It's been a good 2006, though.
Since 98

Let's go!
Nov. 2002
3 years, 7 months :icon_mrgreen:
Bought it with roughly ~8,000 miles on it. 32,945 miles on it as of 5 seconds ago.
Not counting the year that I had a '90 in Hawaii.
Got my first one (race only) in June 2003 but sold it.
Hacking and building on several others ever since.....2 track and 2 street
riding since i was 4 but owned a gs5 for 3 months.
2 1/3 years (since march 04)
got mine new in 2000.
Since June 2005.
6 years, 3 months
Since October last year, but it sat in storage until March. So, like four months... and perhaps not any more after this last afternoon.
I still feel like a rookie. Have mine for only 1413 days (29-Aug-02 to be exact) and 11011 miles. Hey, just noticed; a Binary odometer -- cool. :thumb:
2 years 7 months and hopefully many more :thumb:
Going on 5 weeks
Almost one year
Owned the bike for 18 days
Bike has been running for 9 days
Bike has been running properly for a total of 2 days
The two days were great... hopefully I'll be able to coax a few more out of her soon...

7 wks now, the bike feels good now after it got broken in, smoother and I am a lto more comfortable on it.
Less than 1 week, and 430 miles :icon_lol:
Welcome, JonC!
That's not bad! You'll be done with break-in in no time! :thumb:

And no need on the break-in... I bought her pre-loved. She had 1300miles when I got her.
I got mine in march... i think... didn't get my endorsement and start riding until june though and have just shy of 2k on the clock
This August it'll be 16 years. Man, as I typed that I realize how old I'm gettting, even though I still feel 25, give or take a few years :) :) :)
Chris
First rode the one I own in August 2002, but purchased it in April 06 (from my buddy), already 700 miles on it. Took awhile but finally got it.
2 1/2 years. Been flying in and out of the country so many damn times, I still feel like a noob. Even now my baby G is in n.y. while I'm in Chicago
I have had my GS for 7 days and been on it 3 days. The service techs at my dealership have had my new gs 16 days. Man they must be having a blast over there! :2guns:
bought mine brand new in '89
I've bought mine about 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for the seller to receive the title so that i can get the bike registered. in the meantime i've managed to put 20 miles on my bike in less than a week riding it around my small neighborhood (one time around is .4 miles). I bet my neighbors love me. Well if they don't like it, they can sux my exhaust!

Yeah, I've been doing the same thing, except only on about half of one block. I might not know how to go faster than 20 mph, but I'm really good at U turns.
2 1/2 Months
2006 GSF Black and Silver. 1st bike and love it!
I've had my 99 gs for 7 days and been riding it 5 days and put 200+ miles on it. It had a little problem and couldn't ride for 2 days. My first bike. Yey!!!!
Purchased new from the lot in May 2004. I wouldn't trade it for the world... Well, the world maybe...
i bought mine agust of 05, and i love the little thing
