Post by: natedawg120 on July 11, 2006, 09:00:41 AM
Who wants to see it, you know it looks halarious.  Saw the preview before Pirates of the Caribean II and couldn't stop laughing.

Should be awsome.
It will probably change everything.  Maybe even make up for Bewitched.

I'm going to go see it. I mean any movie that makes fun of Nascar is good for me. Especially when there is a scene where Ricky Bobby is on fire. Hops out of the car screaming. But still remembers to thank his sponsors.

I'll stop hating on Nascar the day the WRC returns to TV. And isn't kicked off by yet another Nascar show on Speed.

...which will happen the day WRC tops the eleven billion dollar contribution NASCAR hands over every year.

Sure they can...and since they're trying sooo hard to appeal to the American market I'm sure their check is in the mail.

Yeah which is the heart of the problem isn't it? Most of the cars in the WRC aren't sold in the US. And until Subaru started to set Travis Pastrana up to be a part of it. There wasn't even an american to watch. Heck who cares about a Frenchman whose leading?

But Rally America is going to be a part of this years X-Games. And so is Colin McRae who is a name that PS2 players know. So maybe something will come of it.

A lack of amercian targeting isn't the problem...the problem is that Americans, as a whole, don't like WRC, F1, or moto grand prix and the like.  You have the problem...you seek to have a major organization spend amounts of money unfathomable to your tiny mind so that YOU can watch rally racing.  They'll fill the spot and ESPN/Speed/whatever will spend 2 hours being watched by as many people.(that's 2 for those of you who share tiny minds)

It's business.

There are maybe a dozen american PS2 players who can pick colin McCrea out of a crowd of burnettes.  Real fans.
