he took it in for service and got ti back like that :dunno_white:
I bet it has the fastest reverse of any vehicle ever
I think I'd crap my pants and crash if I put it in 1st and went backwards.
Didn't the mechanic test ride it!?! I'll bet that's what this video is for, for the shop that effin effed up the engine rebuild. FRACK!!I'd be so PISSED!! This makes mechanics like me look bad!! Frack, I'm pissed already! I'm pissed at the mechanic that did that! What a MORON!! Frack!

i agree with you 10000000000% as i happen to be a bike mechanic too
It's simply retarded that the mechanic didn't test it before handing it back to the customer....what a TARD! :cookoo:
My question is, what did they do wrong that makes it go backwards
QuoteWhat happened was when they put the chain (530)on the bike it must have draped in between the swingarm pivot bolt and the countershaft sprocket. And there fore the chain was being rotated from the top making it go backwards. If I had taken the time to do the nickey mod I would have noticed it right away. The guys at the shop (procycles) say the 530 chain fits perfect inbetween the counter shaft and swing arm pivot bolt.

(http://sinfulf4i.50megs.com/REVERSE.JPG) there a pic to help explain
He did say he took out the battery and someother stuff so the shop could not ride it. So there is no way that they could have test rode his bike.
This is not an excuse, they still should have done the work right the first time. But explains why it was not test ridden.

That looks about right. I'm surprised you're not a professional draftsman. :icon_mrgreen:

That's just as bad!!
i didnt draw it is from the speedzillia forum someone esle drew it
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAH
The world record in reverse is only like 65mph.....
If he had the balls he could set the world record easily. (Mechanically at least)
That would be something to watch.

No, sorry, I meant that if that was what the mechainic did, that is just as bad.
Your drawing was just fine. It illustrated the point.

I had a local shop mount new tires on my 78 gs750 with a drum rear brake. The @$$hole forgot to put the nut on the drum retainer bar. I hit the brake at 65 on the highway 2 miles from the shop and the rear locked up and snapped the actuarator rod. I asked the shop to fix their mistake and they said it wasn't their fault. I will never ever have any motorcycle of mine serviced at Farr's cycles in Tulsa Oklahoma ever again. That was 17 years ago and I am probably sure the mechanic who did it is no longer there. But They will never get my business ever again. There is no excuse for sloppy workmanship from a motorcycle mechanic. Cagers make life risky enough as it is without some mechanic adding to the chance of a wreck. Even though the shop did not have the battery to test ride the bike they could have at least looked at how the chain was running across the sprocket. I do.
