Title: GS500F replacement handlebars
Post by: mike_mike on July 14, 2006, 10:16:11 AM
I know there is a bunch that fit the E model, but with the exception of the SM/SM2 bars ($$) - What replacement bars will fit the GS500F?

I'm looking for a direct repacement, with no modifications needed, i'm fine with spinning items around on the bars and such, but i don't want to modify anything on the front end other than drop in some new bars.

so what are my options for handlebar repalcement on the GS500F with the exception of the suburban machinery bars?

Tdan put some SM bars on his F.  He had really good photos showing the tank/fairing clearance.

Search for that and you won't be sorry.

once you convert the cost of those bars into canadian dollars and add taxes/customs fees, etc. they are way to much money for me

Don't the Srinath bars add like 20hp? And lower your gearing?

And cure cancer?  :dunno_white:

OMG I'm going to be hit by lightning for that.
(Do Srinath bars protect you from lightning BTW?)

That's the million dollar question :) it looks like he's been pretty busy lately, and hasn't had the time to work out making some new bars for us all.  Hopefully soon?  No rush though, if it wasn't for him, we'd all be buying SM2s.
