im taking my msf course this week and im not 18 so i was wondering if i still get my license because im only 16?
the msf course will cover your driving test. you will still have to go in to take the written motorcycle and 1/2 the driving test (assuming you already have your license). Since you dont have one, you'll have to get it first. IF you can get your drivers license, you can get both when you go.
your state may differ than CA.

Here in Washington State if you take the MSF you get your license. You take both written and riding test at the end of the MSF so all you need to do is show up at the DMV with your card or certificate and show it to them and you get your license.
From these other responses I can tell that every state has slightly different laws.
In Texas, you take the driving test in your MSF class and they give you a certificate to bring to the DMV. Then all you need to do to get your lisence is take the written test. You will get booklets in MSF which will help you pass the test at the DMV, but if you use common sense and listen in class you should be able to pass the test without any problems.
In NY, you have to be 18 or have a class D license before you can get your class M. The only way you can get a class M before being 18 is to have your car license and have taken drivers ed, and even then you don't get a class D until you are 17.
Might want to check and make sure you don't have any silly rules like that Matty.
After I took the MSF course all I had to do was show up at the BMV and recieve my endorsment
i already had my driver's license (D-reg), so i paid $35 and got my motorcycle license (M-reg) in the mail 5 days after MSF.
you will get a junior license w/ restrictions in PA. so you can only ride during certian hours and under certain rules. aslo in order to get a permit and junior license you need to have it for 6months and have a guardian sign a form saying you got 50hrs of practice. fortunately im 22 and from NY so all i had to do was retake the motorcycle permit test since they wont transfer my NY bike permit and takte the free msf coursev for PA
